Underwood Road

Phil was appointed by Peabody Trust as Ellis and Moore’s project director for the design of the new build block of flats at the site of the Jewish Maternity Hospital in Whitechapel.

The building structure comprises a five storey reinforced concrete flat slab structure over a single storey basement with a small terrace of houses to the rear of the site. A roof top communal garden is provided to the main block.

Foundations were piled with a contiguous piled, lined wall to the basement perimeter.
