PDA were appointed by Islington Council to undertake the design for construction of the refurbishment of an existing four storey street property together with the construction of a new three storey attached house, both designed to Passivhaus Standards. A full structural refurb including underpinning, tying, and floor and roof strengthening was designed with all structural details requiring close collaboration with the architects to minimise thermal bridging.
